How much of cosmetics production can you handle?

We welcome both first-time product planning and new product development for existing brands. Tell us your intended category, such as skincare, cleansing, hair, body or color cosmetics, and how the product will be used. Development feasibility and conditions are reviewed for each product.

Formulation development

Product direction → Development samples → Approved specifications

We review ingredients and formulation direction, coordinate sample reviews and revisions, and agree on the production scope.

Full product planning & development

Product concept → Formulation & packaging → Finished product

We coordinate formulation, packaging, production and delivery timelines. Any included design support is confirmed before contracting.

OEM or ODM: which approach suits my product?

OEM generally means manufacturing to specifications set by the customer. ODM combines product development and manufacturing using a manufacturer's development capabilities. Responsibilities vary by company and project, so we first review your existing specifications and the development work you need.

Projects with an existing formula or specifications need a different review from those starting with an idea. Share your materials and the work you need us to handle so we can agree on an approach.

Terminology reference: Kolmar Korea's explanation of OEM and ODM business models. O:BIJOU's scope of work is agreed for each project.

Frequently asked questions about cosmetics manufacturing

What are the minimum order quantity and production cost?

There is no single quantity or price that applies to every project. We review the formulation, fill volume, packaging and production conditions. Share your requirements so we can agree on the quotation specifications and included items.

Can I provide my own design or containers?

Yes. Share your design or containers so we can check compatibility with the formulation, filling and printing requirements, then clarify what you will supply and any additional work needed.

How is the production timeline decided?

We consider sample revisions and approvals, final design, material readiness, production and delivery requirements together. If you have a fixed launch date, please share it at the initial consultation.

What should I share in my first inquiry?

  • Product category, target customers and intended use
  • Reference products and what you like about them
  • Any existing formulation, container or design materials
  • Your preferred timeline and essential requirements

Tell us what matters to your project.

We can discuss both confirmed details and decisions still to be made.
